WDET: Culture City Weekend Feature
His roots are deep in Detroit, but when he sits in front of the keys, Jarrod Champion’s sound makes its way to the south, over in the dixieland and delta. Ask anyone, he’s one of the best in the city. If it’s top notch Detroit made music you seek, look no further.

Jarrod played at my husband's 40th birthday party in our home. He was super easy to work with, (even) came a month before the event to tune our piano and perform a song. He was very professional, always responsive and catered the music towards my husband's taste. When he arrived, I was busy with other vendors and he needed no direction. He was set up and ready to roll without me having to say a word. He played guest requests, learned my husband's favorite song (and played it at the perfect moment) and was a joy to have at the event. There wasn't a guest that didn't compliment the music and ask how I found him. I highly recommend Jarrod!

"Jarrod was such a great addition to our small wedding reception held in Ann Arbor! We received tons of positive feedback during the event regarding his playing. He was extremely professional and accommodating, even learning a requested song beforehand for our "first dance". He was prompt and needed almost no direction from us - clearly a professional, experienced performer. Thank you so much, Jarrod! It was exactly what we were hoping for! =)"

"Jarrod played piano and (sang) for a 40th birthday party we hosted. He was very professional, prompt, courteous, and did a nice job of reading the crowd. He played a variety of classics from Frank Sinatra to Motown. We had many guests comment that Jarrod did a great job, and what a nice touch it was to the party. I would definitely hire him again for another event. Thanks so much!"

"Jarrod was an absolute pleasure to work with! He played music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and entire reception! He did not need any direction during on our Big Day, he is a true professional and knew exactly where to be and what to play! Jarrod put together a jazz quartet for our reception and it was absolutely perfect! They played great music and all of our guests raved about it! Whether you are looking for background cocktail music, or getting people onto the dance floor, you will not be disappointed. We wanted jazz, New Orleans style blues/jazz and that's exactly what we got! I still have several of the songs he played stuck in my head! If you are looking for a musician to play fun upbeat music for your event - this is it! Thank you Jarrod!"
