Jarrod Champion can often be found performing as a solo pianist, a solo pianist/vocalist, or as the bandleader of an ensemble of various size and musical subject.  Spreading himself most typically across the regions of traditional jazz, traditional blues, jump blues, classic soul, early rock 'n' roll, and the music of New Orleans, Jarrod takes the stage regularly with bands ranging from two to eight pieces. 

Citing influences such as Tom Waits, Dr. John, Billie Holiday, Nat "King" Cole, Oscar Peterson, Thelonious Monk, Juan Esquivel, Professor Longhair, Jay MacShann, Fats Domino, Frank Sinatra, James Booker, and plenty of others, Jarrod's musical reach is broad and his repertoire varied.  He draws from players spanning all time periods and genres.
